This system has been under development from 1998 to automate end of line manual packing of eggs from high capacity egg grading machines. The system consists of several pack stacking machines installed in place of takeaway conveyors, linked to a box flap closing and taping machine. The only labour input required is slipping the outer cases over stacks of eggs:
Reduced labour due to operator output of 100-150 CPH
Can handle all common pack and box types
Careful precise handling yields reduced egg breakage
Capacity per lane up to 100 CPH
Significant higher grader performance
Flexibility for short or long production runs
Can be fitted to any egg grader
Can be extended to robotically fill shipper pallets, crates etc.
No extra floor space required
Patents granted in UK, Europe and US
